Breath of Fire 3.

Platform: Sony Playstation
Developer: Capcom
Expected Release date: 1st
Quarter 1998

As the first Breath of Fire game to appear on a
32 bit system, this promises to be good. Even
if the game is sprite based, the programmers
have used polygons to create 3D maps and use
many camera angles. The fights are supposed
to be right on screen, much like Chrono
Trigger and the spells are supposed to look
like Wild Arms'. With 7 characters (some of
them returning from previous Breath of Fire
games) and a great story, this promises to be a
great sequel.

The Plot (taken from PSM at
http://www.psmonline.com/jsmid/index.html).
Breath of Fire III starts in the depths of an
excavation. A small dragon, once thought
extinct, has been found buried in the earth.
While blasting, the baby dragon is awakened,
and goes on a char-broiling rampage. It is
subdued, but escapes while kept in a cage on a
train. Jump to a near-by village. Here you meet
Ryu, a young boy. Ryu and the dragon's
destinies are inexplicably linked, but how?

It's a great classic on a new platform. Since the
game is already out in Japan, look at the
Japanese Web Page for the full story.
